15 years envisioning narratives that illuminate the peoples of the
African Diaspora.

co-founding Culchahworks Arts Collective, which promises to usher in a
new era of cutting-edge storytelling and artistic celebration of stories
drawn from the African Diaspora.

odyssey’ or ‘theatrical epic’ sung and danced by a racially diverse cast
of 20 women to be premiered as part of PANAMANIA in 2015.
Amanda Martinez is a
Toronto-based singer/songwriter, radio host and actress. Her music
blends her unique Mexican and South African roots with flamenco soul.
Her solo CDs have garnered her multiple nominations for Latin Jazz
Performer of the Year, and her songs have appeared on three Putumayo
world music collections. Martinez is now honorary co-chair of PanAm
2015's Ignite program. She is also the Co-Chair of Toronto's Music
Advisory Council.
DJ:
DJ

audiences on radio, at corporate events and opening for top artists
including Lauryn Hill and Busta Rhymes. Mel has a unique ability to
engage any crowd and a passion for all genres of music.
Live Music:
Tebey - is a multi-genre
songwriter and country music artist. He is signed to BMG Music
Publishing and calls Nashville home, although originally from
Peterborough, ON born to Nigerian/Canadian parents. Over the past few
years Tebey has made quite a name for himself at country radio with
multiple hit singles including his top ten CCMA nominated “Somewhere In
the Country” and top ten smash “Till It’s Gone.” His current single, a
countrified version of “Wake Me Up” featuring Emerson Drive is blasting
up the chart – entering the top 30 at 21* and the top 5 of the iTunes
country singles chart.
As a songwriter, the past two years have seen multiple cuts for the
likes of Emerson Drive, Doc Walker, Big & Rich, Jason Blaine, Tara Oram,
One More Girl, and even pop stars One Direction, Shawn Desman and
American Idol winner Kris Allen. He also scored his first UK #1 with the
song “All About Tonight” performed by British pop star Pixie Lott, which
went on to be nominated for Single of The Year at the prestigious Brit
Awards.
This past year he won a new artist showcase at the 2012 CCMA event (one
of 8 artists out of hundreds to achieve this) and at the Boots & Hearts
Festival in 2012, won the Big Machine Label Group’s new artist talent
contest. While putting the majority of his energy these days into
building his artist career, Tebey has still found time to co- write 7
songs on Emerson Drive’s current, CCMA and Juno nominated album Roll.
Zeus is a
Toronto-based Canadian indie rock band signed to the Arts & Crafts
record label. Its members include Rob Drake, Carlin Nicholson, Mike
O'Brien, and Neil Quin. In addition to recording and performing the
music of Zeus, the band also served as the backing band for Canadian
musician Jason Collett.
Classic Zeus is the story of a band that has walked through fire and
come out the other side raw. Whereas divergent paths had begun to pull
Zeus apart both musically and personally, mutual respect and hunger for
exploration brought them back together. Months of musical and technical
experimentation, redefining the limitations of their Ill Eagle Studios,
yielded new songs and sounds that reflect the broadening perspective of
“classic” Zeus, with stronger unity and more definite form than ever
before.
Midnight. Fireworks display.
Mayor John Tory will count down the New Year followed by spectacular
fireworks from Circus Orange.
Don't miss this epic kickoff to 2015!
