How Fun Winter Can Be |
This Family Day Show
Your Kids Just How Fun Winter Can Be with the Grade 4 & 5
SnowPass
Family Day is Monday, February 15th in Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and was
on February 8th in British Columbia. Why not spend this Family
Day together as it’s intended, as a family? Take the kids skiing
or snowboarding this long weekend and spend some time enjoying
the outdoors while learning a new sport. Skiing and snowboarding
are great activities to do as a family and they provide a great
opportunity to create family traditions and memories! Open doors
to new adventures for future holidays and register your child
for a Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass.
The Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass is
a program that provides students in grade four or five with the
chance to ski three times each at over 150 participating resorts
all over Canada. It is open to winter enthusiasts of any
caliber, especially beginners! It costs a mere $29.95 and is
valid for two years if the child is in grade four (and one year
if the child is in grade five). All you need to do to apply is
go online to www.snowpass.ca
, upload your photo, proof of age and make your payment and the
SnowPass will be mailed directly to you, along with a temporary
SnowPass that you can begin using right away. With over 150 ski
areas participating, you are bound to find a ski area close to
home.
Winter sports are important
to Canadians and what better way to pass the winter months than
to find a sport you can do all together. Being a part of a sport
can aid in the development of a child's confidence, lead to new
opportunities for their future, and is also a great way to keep
them active, healthy and happy. Skiing and snowboarding also
provide an opportunity for children to make new friends with
similar interests. The exhilaration they will feel as they
conquer a run they didn't think they could do or improving their
technique is like no other!
The Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass is
a national program and is valid at over 150 ski areas across
Canada, including 31 ski areas in British Columbia, 21 in
Alberta, 1 in Saskatchewan, 2 in Manitoba, 30 in Ontario, 57 in
Quebec, 8 in Atlantic Canada, and 1 in the Yukon. So no matter
where you live, everyone can take advantage of this fantastic
offer. To see a full list of participating ski areas, please
visit: www.snowpass.ca .
Sign up for your SnowPass today and get it in time for Family
Day!
The Canadian Ski Council is a not for profit association that
was founded in 1977 and works on behalf of its member
organizations to increase participation in recreational skiing
and snowboarding in Canada.
